Boster and Devashetty have already begun their responsibilities and will facilitate coaching and training for players in the USTA Player Development program.? Boster is based at the USTA Training Center-Headquarters in Boca Raton, Fla., and will report to USTA Player Development Head of Men's Tennis Jay Berger, while Devashetty is based at the USTA Training Center-East at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y., and will report to both Berger and USTA Player Development Head of Women's Tennis Ola Malmqvist.
"Both Stanford and Jayadeva bring years of coaching experience to the USTA National Coaching staff," said Patrick McEnroe, General Manager, USTA Player Development.? "Stanford has worked with some of tennis' top players during their developmental stage, while Jayadeva comes from a club with a great track record of player development, giving both coaches the knowledge of what it takes to make it at the highest levels of the sport."
Boster, 42, a native of South Africa who currently resides in Boca Raton, Fla., joins the USTA after operating Boster Tennis Management since 1998, during which time he coached and managed such players as Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish, Todd Widom and David Martin.? Previously, Boster spent four years at the Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, first as a High Performance Coach and then as Academy Director. ?
Devashetty, 36, a native of India who resides in Tarrytown, N.Y., joins the USTA from the Hardscrabble Club in Brewster, N.Y., where he has served as Director of Player Development since 2003.? During his tenure at Hardscrabble, he has served as primary coach to four different USTA National Champions and four players who have reached the top 100 in the ITF World Junior Rankings.? Previously, Devashetty spent five years working at the Randy Mani Tennis Academy, first as a Tennis Pro, and then as Assistant Director.
