The Marathon Maniacs

On the home page of the Marathon Maniac website, there is a list of questions to help you figure out whether or not you are addicted to running marathons. These questions include:

  • Are your closets and dressers filled with marathon T-shirts?
  • When asked by your loved ones what your plans are for the weekend, do you feel guilty telling them you're running another marathon, so you tell them "it's only a half this weekend"?
  • When asked about your racing from non-running people, do you find yourself talking with great passion to the point that the person who asked the question regrets ever asking?

Rules and Minimums:

To become a Marathon Maniac, you need to complete one of nine criteria. The "streak" that you choose will determine your level in the club.

The levels range from Bronze (two marathons within a 16-day time frame, three marathons within a 90-day time frame) all the way up to Titanium (52 Marathons or more within 365 days, 30 marathons in 30 States, countries or provinces — any combination — within 365 days, 20 Marathons in 20 countries within 365 days).

The full criteria can be found at marathonmaniacs.com/are-you-a-marathon-maniac/maniac-criteria.
