Pro-tip: All shorts are not created equal and this is not a garment to cut corners with. If you’re out there running around in basketball shorts, you’re doing it wrong.
In large part, you know the drill: Opt for a sweat-wicking material that will keep you dry and light—and ensure that a little unexpected precipitation doesn’t cut your run short. Pay special attention to the inseam length and liner, as well. If you prefer the more athletic fit, go with an eight-inch inseam. If you prefer briefs, make sure you have a brief liner.
