Description
Roam the rolling terrain and discover the range of landscapes at James Madison’s Montpelier. Hike through the Landmark Forest to see venerable white oaks and tulip poplar trees while learning about the history of the land. Hike beautiful meadows adorned in fall wildflowers, enjoy views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and visit the Slave Cemetery and the Madison Family Cemetery. Purchase lunch at the visitor center or bring your own lunch. Hiking distance is about 2.5-3 miles.Activity Family
