The district provides 5-day per week after school. In serving our BGCNR members, we promote academics, character, citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. All BGCNR programming (arts and crafts, music, dance, social/ emotional learning, STEM, etc.) and curricula (Triple Play, Smart Girls, Smart Kidz, Healthy Habits, etc.) help youth achieve success in these areas through activities tailored to the unique needs and interests of members at each school site. With a staff-member ratio of 15 to 1, we offer a variety of after-school programs and activities that address children's developmental, academic, and social needs. Sample Daily Schedule: Meeting area - Cafeteria 2:45 - 3:00 pm – Snack (provided by the school cafeteria. Students may bring additional snacks) 3:00 - 4:00 pm – Power Hour (homework help/academic activities)/ Students with no homework participate in High-Yield activities 4:00 - 4:45 pm – Activity 1 (planned programming) 15-minute break/ clean-up, bathroom break, etc. 5:00 - 5:45 pm - Activity 2 (planned programming) 5:45 - 6:00 pm – Clean-up/ dismissal (parent pick-up or bus) ***Bus transportation is an option for students to take home, at the end of program.***
